Unnecessary expenses for most Spanish citizens
There are certain unnecessary expenses that most Spaniards have. One of those that we overlook, since they don't mean much, but at the end of the month (and the year) they add up to a lot of money.
At Goin we have a real obsession to help you Save on a regular basis. Therefore, we are going to review the most common expenses, and tell you what you can do to cut back on what's left over... and have more for what's really important!
Unnecessary expenses that most Spaniards share (and that you don't need)
The first of the unnecessary expenses of Spaniards is, without a doubt, Forgotten subscription services. Well, forgotten... or underused. We explain ourselves.
It's very often that we find something that catches our attention, and we decide subscribe to that service. This can be anything from a content platform to a podcast, because the Internet has multiplied the number of businesses with small transactions.
If you think about these types of small expenses, which usually range from 3 up to 15 euros per month. At first, we used it a lot, and over time... Bye-bye, dinerito. It becomes a recurring expense that we don't take advantage of.
And beware, we are not against that Enjoy your money however you prefer. But if you have forgotten subscriptions, don't leave them on a (virtual) shelf: take advantage of them, or unsubscribe.
Insurance or services that we don't use (or that we overpay for)
Another of the unnecessary expenses of Spaniards is usually hidden in telecommunications and insurance. There are plenty of examples of this, but let's illustrate it with the most common ones:
- Have car insurance whose value far exceeds what is reasonable. For example: our car has a value of €3,000, but the annual insurance is €600. Too expensive!
- Pay for an Internet speed at home or on your mobile phone when we're not using it. For example: buying 30 GB of mobile Internet and 600 MB of symmetric fiber optics, when with 5 GB and 100 MB we would do more than good.
Here we include other costs that are forgotten, but they exist. For example, a package from the electricity company that includes insurance costs that we don't even remember later (did you know that most include a locksmith and, despite having it included, people call and pay for a private one?). In short, to review the contract and reduce costs by removing what is not necessary.
And, of course, the dreaded commissions
Finally, there are the hated management fees. Here we have banks first, especially if you're investing. It's very important to make sure you don't overpay for a less competitive service (for example, a cryptocurrency broker that charges you a barbarity per transaction). If you want invest in another way, or manage better That money that you will now have left over, we offer you to do it for free.
